OLD BUSINESS
Corey Cole pension request
A motion to continue the hearing so the Solicitor can hire outside counsel to
represent the best interest of the Board in the matter before us was made by
Mr. Gress and seconded by Mr. Hill. A roll call vote was taken. The 4 ayes were
Messers Hill, Bloomberg, Koons and Gress. The 5 nays were Ms. Baraket, Mr.
Glazier, Mr. Marsteller, Mr. Siegel and Ms. Balog. The motion failed.
A motion to find that Mr. Cole is a public employee in his capacity as treasurer
of the Lehigh Township Volunteer Firefighter Relief Association as defined by
the Public Employee Pension Forfeiture Act was made by Mr. Hill and seconded
by Ms. Balog. A roll call vote was taken and all presented voted aye. The motion
passed.
A motion to find that the crimes Mr. Cole plead guilty to on January 8, 2020 on
CP-48-CR-1864-2019 are crimes related to Mr. Cole’s public office as defined
by the Public Employee Pension Forfeiture Act was made by Mr. Hill and
seconded by Ms. Baraket. A roll call vote was taken and all presented voted aye.
The motion passed.
A motion that the Public Employee Pension Forfeiture Act applies, and that Mr.
Cole’s pension shall be forfeited as stated in section 3 subsection A was made
by Ms. Balog and seconded by Mr. Siegel. A roll call vote was taken and all
present voted aye. The motion passed.
