Ms. Vicky Kistler stated that this denial was issued because the city's
inability to reach the owner. The owner submitted an application to build a
detached garage in the rear. The application was received and was
scheduled for the December and the owner stopped communicating
entirely. The HARB Board had no other choice, but to deny the request.
Ms. Cynthia Mota asked if there were any questions from the dais.
Mr. Santo Napoli asked if the resident who is not communicating decides
to communicate, does it pick up where they left off.
Ms. Vicky Kistler stated that at this point, if the city denies the request, they
are going to have to reapply.
Ms. Cynthia Mota asked if it is a fee when they reapply.
Ms. Vicky Kistler stated that there will be a reapplication fee. Although,
Community and Economic Development is willing to work with them if it is a
really good reason why they cannot, they can certainly go back and talk
about tweaking the application. She stated that her office sent letters,
emails, made phone calls and had no response. She is not sure if they are
even interested in pursuing the garage.
