Amending the 2025 Equipment Fund Budget to provide for an increase of

One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000) for the purchase of a

heavy-duty lift truck for the Traffic Bureau as part of the Pennsylvania Local

Share Account Grant the City was awarded. This grant is fully reimbursable

and once the equipment has been purchased, the City will be reimbursed.

Mr. Mark Shahda stated yes, thank you. He stated good evening, this

$150,000 is part of the LSA grant that they received to purchase heavy duty

bucket trucks for our Traffic Department. This bucket truck is a good

addition to the Fleet and will give them the ability to lift heavier traffic poles

in upwards of one ton which will be 2,000 pounds. The current bucket

trucks that they have in the fleet are only capable of lifting up 600 pounds.

He stated that they are very fortunate to receive this grant and will be a

great addition to our fleet.

Mr. Ed Zucal stated ok, so he is reading here that the grants are fully

reimbursable once they are purchased. The city must buy it first.

Mr. Mark Shahda stated that they must put out the funding and then, they

would get fully reimbursed.

Mr. Ed Zucal asked if they have that money available straight out so they

can get it right back.

Mr. Mark Shahda stated that they will get it right back, yes.
