Authorization for Contract with Commonwealth Equipment Corporation in the estimated amount of $89,000 for Roadway equipment – Portable Jaw Plant. The rental of the Jaw Crusher recycles blacktop and concrete that is stored at the St Elmo St Dump site into usable stone for all departments. Crushing the used blacktop and concrete into usable stone is less expensive than purchasing stone and recycling the material leaves much needed space in the dumpsite, prolonging the need for a new site or much more expensive ways of getting rid of our street materials. This rental is done every two years. There were two initial bids.
