Amending the Civil Service Board Rules governing the Appointment and Promotion of Police Officers and Fire Fighters by adding the following under Grading Procedures, c: All raw scores that end with .5 or greater shall be rounded up to the nearest whole number. All applicable veteran preference points shall then be added to the whole number. In the case of a tie, raw scores shall be used as a tiebreaker, with the original unadjusted scores used to determine who will place higher on the eligibility list. If there is a still a tie after comparing raw scores.
